VOCATIONAL
TRAINING IN BURGESS HILL
List
of courses
A
new vocational training centre at the Victoria Business Centre, Burgess
Hill, is opening its doors to Year 10 and 11 pupils from September 2004.
The
scheme is part of a massive investment programme by Crawley College,
working closely with Haywards Heath College.
From
the new school year, students will be able to spend one or two days a week
learning a trade while studying for their GCSEs.
Plans
are well advanced to offer two-year courses from September 2004, which will
lead to students gaining industry recognised qualifications.
Burgess
Hill's centre will be following the role model of Crawley College's
Vocational Training Centre in East Grinstead.
Presently,
students from Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath and surrounds are having to
travel to Crawley, Brighton and Lewes for vocational training.
