activity for Duke of Edinburgh Award - service, skills or fitness
participation.
The
club has qualified coaches. We currently have a waiting list for
most groups, including those coming to pre-school age. The club
works on the British Gymnastics Association (BGA) award scheme - 8 up to
1, followed by the Proficiency Scheme - Bronze, Silver & Gold.
The Club has adopted three of the disciplines - Floor, Vault and
Pairs. We operate a 'one club' rule; we will not accept or keep
children who also attend other gym clubs or classes - other than school
clubs. Children may transfer to us or from us as they
wish.

Gym Club
We
run classes in the following disciplines, Women's Artistic, Men's Artistic
& General Gymnastics. Although the Men's Artistic is not to
competition standards as yet, any competitions are at county level. We
perform displays, enter county level competitions and take part in non
competitive recreational events (e.g. local school fetes). All club
members are registered with the British Gymnastics Association (BGA) and
the club is registered with OFSTED. The
club is registered with the social services & all staff have to be
checked by them. If you have any queries or are just curious about it all
then pop in and see what we're about.
The
club has just received the award of GymMark accreditation by British
Gymnastics, in partnership with Sport England.
