BURGESS
HILL RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB - YOUTH & MINI SECTION
Training
geared to improve individual skills with a limited number of competitive
fixtures and festivals to test these in game situations. In the
youngest age groups, non-contact rugby is played, learning the skills of
handling and passing the oval ball. This really is fun rugby!
As the youngsters progress in age, more complex skills and contact rugby
are introduced. All age groups are supervised and coached by
qualified staff and the club operates within a stringent Child Protection
Policy. We welcome and encourage parental support and
participation. Tea, coffee and bacon butties are available to those
people watching the sessions.
Children
are grouped according to age. The younger groups concentrate mainly
on coaching but play friendlies at the end of the year. Initially
they will play tag ran concentrate mainly on coaching. By the time
children reach the under 12, under 14 and under 16 age group they are
playing the standard game of rugby. The club would be glad to
welcome new recruits throughout the season.
