JOHN AMBULANCE -
is not just about providing first aid and care services at public events
or training to individuals, but is a recognised provider of youth
activities. Nationally over half of all St. John volunteers are
youth members, aged 5-25 years.
Sussex
provides training, personal and leadership development along with
adventurous activities at over 20 local units throughout the county.
Cadets learn many skills in First Aid, Social Care and communications that
help to shape them into vital and active members of their communities.
Cadets can work towards the Grand Prior Award, Duke of Edinburgh's Award
and become involved in educating their peers through Young Leader training
schemes. Cadets also enjoy regular adventurous activities and
development weekends held in the county as well as attending local,
national and international camps.
